Hinger Private Collection Now Available

A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a rare early pair of Hinger timpani mallets with bamboo shafts. Like many early Hinger mallets, there is no Hinger mark or brand on the shaft but these were made for a former student by Mr. Hinger himself. Both of the bamboo shafts are straight, well matched, and well balanced. There is one small crack at the knot on one shaft that does not affect the mallets in any way. The piano felt heads are in good shape with only a tiny bit of wear and a few slight moth marks. This is a great pair of bamboo shaft timpani mallets that will make a nice addition to a timpanist's mallet case.
