Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
Vintage pair of Hinger Touch-Tone white head xylophone/glockenspiel mallets. This pair has a 1 1/8" hard plastic head suitable for xylophone and glockenspiell paying. This larger size head produces a fuller sound due to the extra weight. There were several versions of Hinger xylophone sticks with white plastic heads. This is the version with the polypropylene balls which are the medium weight version. The shafts are 3/8" round reed with original blue marking tape under the heads and at the tips.. The round reed material is rattan with the smooth skin removed which is straight and even in thickness. Each shaft has a red ink Hinger stamp. This is a nice pair of vintage Hinger mallets in excellent condition. These are easy to play and produce a nice sound on any instrument.
