Leedy No. 5666 standard steel bells. This is a set from the mid-1930s with 1 ¼” bars width x 9/32" thick. The bars have been custom fit into one of our new oak cases which allows for the accidentals to overlap the ends of the naturals providing for easier and smoother playing of the instrument. The bars have strong plating with a few dents from years of playing. The bars sound warm and rich compared to modern instruments. Unlike earlier instruments, this set has the natural bar mounting pegs near the player and away from the playing area. This peg placement all but eliminates the chance of striking a mounting peg while playing the instrument. This is a great set of professional quality bells in a nice modern style custom case with a removeable lid.
