Here is a stunning, all original , Leedy model 5650 Concert vibraphone with nobby gold frame and white marine pearl on all four sides. This is the top of the line vibraphone from the developer of the instrument. The tone of the Leedy instruments is uniquely beautiful with a pure, clear tone. The frame is completely original in gleaming nobby gold finish. The rails and end support pieces are coverd in beautiful white marine pearl, all in excellent condition. These features combines with the ornamental end pieces make for a stunning effect. The original motor works perfectly. The bars still have their original tuning and save for a few nicks are in very good condition. The insulators and suspension cord have been replaced along with the power cord that retains its original connection to the motor. As described in the attached description from the 1933 Leedy catalog, this was the pinnacle of Leedy craftsmanship in vibraphones and makes a beautiful instrument to play and hear.
