This is a beautiful Deagan 830 "Master Lite Wate" pit xylophone. The Lite Wate model xylophones are the most compact and portable 3-octave xylophones that Deagan made. Despite their compact size, they still produce a full sounds suitable for professional pit engagements. The rails and resonators fold in half while the entire frame collapses into a single small unit for quick set-up and tear down. This instrument is in excellent condition and sounds great. The rails and wooden end pieces are covered with a silver sparkle wrap that has aged into a nice ginger ale color. There are no cracks or chips in the pearl. The white paint shows a little wear but all of the chrome plating is in excellent condition. There are also four leg extensions so the instrument can be played in standing position (as shown) or, with the extensions removed, can be played while seated. The instrument is in tune with its original tuning to A=440. These are terrific instruments for the working persussionist.
