The Deagan model 1716 professional xylophone is the ultimate orchestral xylophone. It's wide bars and rich warm sound make a great soloist instrument as well.  Built in the 1920s - 30s, this is a great vintage xylophone with heavy brass resonators and superior rosewood bars. The frame of the instrument was modified in the 1990s adding new braced legs with wheels. The original straight legs are also included with the instrument.  The bars were retuned in the 90's to their original tuning, by Century mallets, at A=440. This is a “wide bar”, 3 1/2 octave, instrument with non-graduated bars 2” wide x 15/16” thick.  The model 1716 xylophone is a rare, highly sought after instrument that will quickly become any performers favorite xylophone. Don’t miss the opportunity to own a truly great instrument in excellent condition.
