This is an extremely rare pair of original Leedy model no. 1730 keyboard mallets from the 1930's. As shown in the attached 1933 catalog, this pair was originally a tightly wound yarn pair of mallets. The yarn is long gone but the remaining 1 1/4" vulcanized rubber cores sound great on a xylophone as is. These can serve their new owner as is or as a project pair of sticks, rewound to their original purpose. This is a great pair of vintage mallets and will be a great addition to a vintage Leedy xylophone. Channel your inner George Hamilton Green with these great sticks.
