This is a beautiful eary 19th century Leedy bass drum. The shell has an attractice dark brown finish and appears to be made of walnut. It is a full 30" in diameter so modern heads will fit this drum. Currently, there is a Slingerland logo calf head on one side and a modern plastic head on the other. The wooden grommet and early, simple t-rod eyelets on the shell highlight its early date. This is a great sounding single tension bass drum that will be a perfect instrument for small groups or banda parts. You won't find a better looking or sounding vintage concert bass drum.
