This is a Slingerland era Leedy Broadway model snare drum in mint condition. This unusual 7" x 14" shell size does not appear in the Leedy catalogs from this era. With its solid maple, steam bent shell, this drum is essentially a Slingerland Radio King snare drum with Leedy hardware. The hardware includes a Leedy style tone control,  Leedy Beavertail lugs, Leedy three point extended bridge throw-off and Slingerland nickel over brass stick saver rims. The drum also has its original " Leedy Superior Hardwhite Orchestral drum” calf batter head. Original Slingerland snares and a mid-50's early brass oval Slingerland style Leedy Chicago badge.

This drum is in mint condition with very little fading in the beautifully preserved WMP wrap. The only non-original piece appears to be the Evans Genera 200 snare head. This is a fantastic example of the Leedy drums offered during the Slingerland era that will make a great sounding addition to a collection or to a fine 1950's outfit.
