This is a beautifully preserved Leedy model 5614, 4-octave Solorimba. As shown in the attached 1941 Leedy catalog, the Solorimba has graduated Honduran rosewood bars ranging in width from 2 1/8" at the low end to a 1/2" at the top of the 4 octave range. These bars are in impeccable, original condition with hardly a scratch on them. The attractive two-tone gold and brown frame is in beautiful shape with few moving parts making it easy to set up and tear down. This is a top quality vintage Leedy instrument in near mint condition what will make a nice addition to any percussion studio at a great price.
