Leedy late 1930's model 8038 tunable tom tom in beautiful white marine pearl wrap. These tunable tom toms were a new development in the late 1930's that replaced the venerable Chinese tom toms from the earlier period. The model 8038 has all the features of tom toms today and was truly a forward looking drum. Our tom tom is in mint condition. This is possibly the finest example of a tom tom from this era that we have ever encountered. The chrome hardware is all original and in like new condition. The beautiful white marine pearl wrap is perfect with little to no fading. Both original mufflers are present as is the drum key holder and key. Both heads are beautiful calf heads in perfect condition. Comes complete with a mount for attaching the drum to the bass drum hoop. If you need a ride tom for your period Leedy outfit, you won't find a better option than this one.
