This is a rare 1927, 2nd Issue Catalog with a copyright date of 1926. It is a full-size large format 9”x12” catalog containing 80 pages of Ludwig offerings. The first inside color page introduces the “New Ludwigold Iridescent Display Finish.” The cover is a beautiful Color page featuring the painting of “The Drummer at Valley Forge.” This is a very rare catalog in pristine condition. The catalog is labeled on the third page as the” 2nd issue” distinguishing it from the first issue only in that way. The more commonly seen first issue is not labeled as such so this must have been a second printing of the full-sized 1927 catalog. This rare early Ludwig catalog will be a centerpiece of any drum catalog or Ludwig collection.
