This is a great pair of 1920's Ludwig & Ludwig model no. 631 nickel over steel Jingle Sticks. The rubber bumpers on the back of the sticks are still present. The Ludwig logo is pressed into the black ebonized sticks just below the jingles. The black ebonized finish is in great condition with just a little wear on one stick. This is the description from the 1928 Ludwig & Ludwig catalog: "Practical and highly efficient. Imitates tambourine effect for after-beat, regular beats and jingle effect. Two jingles are mounted on ebonized wood handles. Bumper rubber on underside to prevent marring drum." The only difference in this pair from the ones shown is the catalog is the scalloped jingles. The rubber bumpers are hardened with age and one if slightly deformed but they work perfectly. These are beautifully preserved and a rare addition for any traps collection.
