Beautifully preserved Ludwig Super Sensitive snare drum with a heavy nickel over brass (NOB) shel in near mint condition. Ludwig introduced the Super-Sensitive model in 1929. This drum has an internal muffler and a one-piece brass shell which dates the drum around 1932. The nickel plating on all the original parts is in perfect condition. With the excception of one of the extension arm thumb screws, one rim clip, and the Puresound snares, all of the parts are original. Both the upper and lower snare mechanisms work perfectly. The upper mechanism has rebuilt, original wire snares. The bottom mechanism has Puresound wires that can be replaced with individually adjustable reproduction snares upon request. These drums have a legendary sound and this drum is not exception. You won't find a more versatile drum combining sensitivity with real carrying power due to the combination of the paralle mechanism and heavy brass shell. Every serious player should own one of these drums
