This is a beuatiful example of a 1920's Ludwig Super Sensitive with 10 tube lugs and heavy nickel over brass two-piece shell. These drums have been popular with drummers and orchestral players since they were introduced over 100 years ago because of their marvelous sound production and sensitivity. This drum is no exception. The nickel plating on the solid brass shell is in excellent condition. There are a few tiny dings but they do not affect the drum's appearance or sound. This is the Super Sensitive model with the correct "Super Sensitive" engraved bottom rim. As is so often the case, the top snare mechanism was removed long ago but the original holes are in tact and unaltered so a replacement mechanism can easily be fitted to the drum. All of the 10 tube lug, rim clis and tension rods are in perfet condition. The drum comes complet with a set of our individually adjustable reproduction snare wires. These can easily be swapped out with gut or cable snares to cover a wide variety of repertoire. This is a must have drum for the working drummer.
