This is a beautiful, all original Ludwig & Ludwig separate tension bass drum with DeLuxe gold hardware. As shown in the 1928 catalog pages, the model no. 105, 14" x 28" bass drum was Ludwig's top of the line and most popular size bass drum from the era. It has a mahogany aero-kraft shell with maple reinforcement rings and twelve, tube lugs with timpani handle tuning. This drum is finished in white enamel and was bass drum included with the "Avenue" outfit. The combination of the white enamel finish, DeLuxe gold hardware and black counter hoops is elegant. This bass drum comes complete with two calf heads in excellent condition, internal lights that actually work, and a matching DeLuxe gold external muffler with a "Quality Drum Shop, San Francisco" decal (spurs pictured are not included). Everything about this drum is original and in perfect working order. It will make a great small concert bass drum or as the foundation for a unique period outfit.
