Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
Super rare and complete Ludwig "Miami Beach" stand up outfit. As shown in the 1962 Ludwig catalog above, this was Ludwig's early 1960's version of the cocktail drum set. A single divided drum combines, snare, tom, and bass sounds. This drum from the early 1960's is covered in gold sparkle wrap that is in excellent condition. All hardware is original with the possible exception of the cowbell mounting post and BD pedal bar. The internal snares are present as is the internal drum divider. The divider was cut into two pieces at some point in the past but is in place and fits tight as designed. Complete with original script logo Ludiwg 5" cowbell, original cymbal arm, reversible pedal and red handled brushes. The pedal bar does not allow the reversible pedal to touch the ground when mounted but it functions perfectly and the pedal operates smoothly without wobble. Chrome over brass rims, brass keystone badge, original legs and rubber feet round out the ensemble. These outfits are very rare and will make a nice addition to any Ludwig collection. Don't miss out!
