Hinger Private Collection Now Available

A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a vintage Ludwig Porto-Pad practice pad from the 1960's in excellent condition. The pad is a solid piece of brown rubber in the shape of a Ludwig keystone badge, measuring 5 1/2 x 5 1/2", that has a wedge shape which places the striking surface at an angle for traditional grip players. Ludwig made these solid rubber pads for many years but we believe this one os from the 1960's as shown in the attached 1964 catalog. The edge of the pad shows a clear WFL manufacturer's mark. There are some light ink marks on the front of the pad but the rubber is supple and there are no cracks or gouges around the edges making this a great candidate for use or a vintage practice pad collection.
