This is a late 1960s Ludwig standard Supra-Phonic 400 model snare drum with a Ludalloy shell in very nice condition. This was Ludwig's top of the line standard throw off snare from this era The drum is all original, except for the heads, and very clean. There is some slight “foxing” in the finish due to age, but there is no pitting. The hardware is in good working order and looks great. These snares were the standard of the time so they are heard on many classic rock recordings from the era. This is a must have drum for any vintage Ludwig outfit.
