Here’s a beautiful Super Ludwig solid mahogany shell snare drum in very good condition. This drum came with a few minor issues such as missing or broken rim clips, no snare guards or snares and in need of a good cleaning. We have replaced all missing parts with period correct parts and reproduction snare guards and snares. The WMP is slightly yellowed which blends nicely with the “Ludwig Gold” (art gold) hardware giving this drum a beautiful warm look. As is typical with the “Ludwig Gold” finish, some brass shows through the gold but overall this is a very good representation of the Art Gold colored finish. There are a few minor dings in the WMP but the covering is solid with no lifting or bubbling. The shell is in round and modern heads fit smoothly on the drum. There are no issues with the operation of the throw-off and the snares seat properly to the bottom head. Because of the excellent condition of this shell and snare mechanism this is a great sounding players drum.
