This is a nice example of a 6 ½”x14” Super Ludwig snare drum from the late 1920s era. The drum is in “as found” condition with the exception of new heads and a few era correct replacement rim clips. We have done no other restoration or cleaning of the drum. The drum has some very small dings and scratches but nothing major. The nickel plating on the heavy, two-piece shell, is in very good condition with only a couple small spots on the rims showing wear through to the brass. There are no extra holes. The drum has original gut snares form the era. Four of the ten tube lugs show very slight cracking but nothing that would affect the tuning or performance of the drum. This is a hard to find size of the Super Ludwig model from the 20s with the widely preferred two-piece shell. This will make a great project for a new owner that wants an unaltered drum that they can work on. We believe this drum will polish up nicely and be very attractive. This will make a great player drum and is offered at a very reasonable price.
