This is an early 1980's Ludwig Coliseum model with P-70 Super Sensitive strainer. The 8" x 14" Coliseum model, with its 12 lugs, was only shown in the early 80's catalogs with a P-85 or P-87 strainer making this drum something of a rarity. It is completely original with original, non-adjustable, Ludwig wires, internal muffler and 12 bowtie lugs. The black cortex covering is in excellent condition and all parts work perfectly. There is no rust or corrosion on any of the chrome plated hardware. The combination of the heavy 6-ply shell without reinforcement rings, elegant black cortex covering, and the Super strainer make this a great choice for an orchestral snare drum.
