This is a Ludwig, pre-serial keystone badge "School" Festival model snare drum in excellent condition. The 3-ply, 6 1/2" x 14" shell is painted white on the inside and has a nice vintage, wood sound. These pre-serial shells sound like the classic WFL shells and make perfect snare drums for your 1950's - 60's vintage outfit. The extra depth of the "School" Festival shell give is extra power and presence. All hardware is original and in excellent condition including COB hoops and split, classic lugs. The P-83 throw-off works perfectly and the drum scomes complete with vintage No, Q, two-tone wire-gut snares. The natural mahogany finish is also in excellent condition making this a great example of a classic , early 1960's vintage snare drum.
