This is a completely restored 1937 Silver Anniversay Super Ludwig snare drum with a solid mahogany 6 1/2" x 14" shell. All parts are original to the drum aside from our reproduction snare guards. All parts have been completely restored and newly nickel plated so the drum looks almost like new. The solid mahogany shell is in excellent shape with perfect white marine pearl wrap that has a creamy vintage patina. A clear 3709 datestamp on the insidde of the shell dates the drum to September, 1937. An originl set of individually adjustable snare wires is included with the drum. The Silver Anniversary model drums from the mid-1930's are distinguished by their white enamel badges and tapped (i.e. no inserts) Imperial lugs. The lugs are in perfect condition with the bottom, snare head side of one lug repaired. These solid mahogany shells have an unequaled dark resonant tone that sounds great in any setting. This is a fine example of 1930's Super Ludwig that will be at home either on the stage or in a collection.
