This is a 1930's vintage, bass drum hoop mounted, short trap post. These trap posts were used extensively in the vaudeville era to mount everything from cow bells to Chinese tom toms. This "bull dog" style clamp system was short lived for Ludwig making this a rare example of a post with a script Ludwig logo. The nickel plating on this post is in excellent condition and everything works smoothly. Add this to your vintage Ludwig outfit along with a set of traps for a rotating display or playable combination.
