Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a hard to find Gretsch mdoel 4166, heavy brass shell drum in mint condition. The model 4166 has a 6" x 14" brass shel that weighs in at 13 pounds. It is a close cousin to the more common model 4165 with all of the great features you would expect from a vintage early 80's Gretsch brass snare drun. All of the chrome plating on this instrument is in excellent condition. The snares and heads are not original but all of the rest of the hardware is original to the instrument and works perfectly. The drop G badge was only in use for about a year in 1981 so if you have a set of drums with this badge, this is the snare for you. This is a great sounding, powerful drum with few peers.
