Machinery Imitation

Machinery Imitation
Product Code: TRE10
Availability: Recently Sold

Beautiful machinery imitation from the 19teens in near mint condition. As shown in the pictured Dixie Music House catalog, the machinery imitation is a realistic reproduction of a hoisting gear, heaving of an anchor, and other heavy machinery. Cranking the handle turns the gear which causes the spring actuated cog to knock against each successive tooth on the gear. The mechanics of the imitation are enclosed in a nice stained hardwood box that is in excellent condition. A complete sticker on the bottom of the box is from the original retailer "Seiberling-Lucas Music Company", Portland, Oregon. The overall size is 11 1/2" L x 3 1/2" W x 6" H. This is a very rare vintage imitation from the early 20th century that is as attractive as it is useful today and will be a terrific addition to any traps collection.
