Hinger Private Collection Now Available

A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is an original edition set of parts for the "Flight of the Bumble Bee", arranged for marimba orchestra by Clair Omar Musser. The Flight of the Bumble Bee is an interlude from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Tale of Tsar Saltan". This world famous interlude is far more well known than the original opera. This version, arranged by Musser and published by Forster in 1940, includes 5 separate parts for marimbas 1 - 5 plus a contra-bass part. The marimba 1, 2, and 3 parts are combined. Each part is contained within its own booklet, complete with cover page. All of the parts are included and each is in excellent condition. Musser's marimba orchestra from the late 1930's was famous for its world tour using King George model Deagan marimbas. The Forster arrangements are almost certainly part of the repertoire that Musser arranged for the tour. It is exciting to see this original edition that is one of twelve offered by Forster along with solos and master works, as shown in the attached Forster catalog. This set of parts will make an exciting addition to any percussion music library.
