This is a beautiful example of an early 1900's concert snare drum. With a solid rosewood shell and counter hoops, 28 tension rods with diamond back plates, a wooden grommet and calf heads, this is one of the more attractive, interesting drums from the early 20th century we have seen. There are a few small replacement parts that are hard to notice amongst the bling on this drum. Both of the calf heads are newly tucked on original flesh hoops. The gut snares are old and possibly from the era. The finish on the rosewood shell and counter hoops is original. This is a super nice , display quality drum that will draw lots of attention from every drum enthusiast.
