Beautiful solid brass fight bell. Very similar to the bell shown in the attached Dixie Music catalog. As described, it imitates the sound of a fire engine, ambulance, street car, fight bell, etc... This is a beautifully crafted bell with a solid bras or bronze bell attached to a mechanical clapper. The entire unit is mounted to a board with a rope and handle attached. Pulling the rope activates the clapper conrolled by a spring and produces a single loud tone that rings for a very long time. The text on the board reads; "Boxing Match Round 1,2,3,etc. Bell continue the match (excellent imitation!)". This text was most likely written on the board by the original retailer. The brass bell is 6" in diameter with a 1 1/2" lip. You can't find a nicer, better sounding fight bell anywhere.
