This is a classic revised and enlarged edition of the Gardner Modern Method for the Timpani published in 1919 and revised in 1944 by the Carl Fischer music house. This is the third of three method books that make up the comprehensive instruction course by Carl Gardner who was a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra during the early part of the 20th century. This instruction course includes descriptions, pictures, exercises, etudes, and solos. This copy is in excellent condition with no pencil marks, tears, or dog eared pages. This is a rare copy of an early edition of this historic method book that will make a nice addition to any music collection.
