Reproduction Ludwig & Ludwig Supper –Sensitive snares from the late 1920s to the early 1940s.
These snares are patterned after the original upper (batter head) internal snares for Super-Sensitive snare drums Ludwig & Ludwig produced from 1929 to about 1940. These snares will fit all 14" drums from this era. They fit snugly up against the underside of the batter head and sound great. No modification of the original Ludwig mechanism is required. If you are lucky enough to find a Super-Sensitive model drum from this era that still has the upper mechanism, chances are the upper snares are either missing or damaged. These snares can make your drum complete again.
