Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a beautifully preserved Rogers external bass drum muffler in near mint condition. As shown in the 1967 Rogers catalog, this muffler clamps to the wooden bass drum counter hoop and muffles the head with a large felt pad. It has a spring tension screw to adjust the pressure against the head. The arm rotates about 270 degrees so it can be placed in an infinite number of position on the head. The chrome plating is in mint condition as is the felt pad. This original piece of hardware will make a nice bit of bling for any 1960's or later Rogers outfit.
