This is an early Rogers Dynasonic 7 lined 5”x14” brass shell snare drum. The badge has the serial number 1943 making this one of the first brass shell Dynasonics produced. It is all original, except the heads (vintage Evans on the drum) including “tall Boy” hoops, snares, snare chords, internal muffler, snare rack and bread & butter lugs. This drum has been well preserved, stored in a case and not played in many years. As is typical for this era, 8 out of the 10 “Bread & Butter” lugs show cracks (some just hairline) but not completely compromised. The shell is in excellent condition with only a very few very small scratches and one very small ding. It would be hard to find another 7 line “Bread and Butter” lug Rogers Dynasonic snare drum from this era in better condition. This drum comes with its original canvas case from the early 1960's.
