This is a pair of Rogers Holiday tom toms in the rarest of rare Wildwood finish. This finish was only offered in 1967 and very few were made. The trees used to produce the wood for these drums were dyed before harvesting producing unique colors unmatched by any other natural wood finish. This pair of drums has a unique history. Neither of the drums has ever been lacquered. These appear to be from the very end of the Wildwood production cycle and were originally covered with a Fender stick on wrap. Rogers' parent company CBS owned both Rogers and Fender in 1967 and someone at the factory had the bright idea to wrap these drums with a Fender guitar wrap. Imagine our surprise when we removed the wrap to find Wildwood underneath. The two other Rogers drums from this outfit that were also covered were natural maple underneath the Fender wrap. All of the hardware is original and in beautiful condition. The interior of the floor tom has a granito finish with a paper Dayton "Holiday" tag. The interior of the ride tom is clear natural lacquered wood. Machined collet and original internal mufflers are included. The floor tom does not include legs. The wood finish is in excellent condition with lots of color. When a lacquer finish is added to the shells these colors will come to life. Don't miss this opportunity to own two of the rarest Rogers drums anywhere.
