Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a nice Rogers double row 10” concert tambourine from the 1960s. These tambourines are sought after for their delicate light “French” sound among orchestral players. The instrument has 17 pairs of silver, fairly dry sounding, jingles perfect for delicate and soft passages. The shell is relatively light for its size making it easy to manipulate while playing. A new calf skin head has been installed making this a great player's tambourine. This tambourine shows light use for its age with very little wear making it a great example of this style of vintage tambourine.
