This is a well preserved mid-1960s Rogers Dynasonic Parade drum. It has the legendary wooden Dynasonic shell that is in excellent condition with no extra holes of modifications. All of the hardware is original with the possible exception of the leg mount. It comes complete with original nylon snares and a Rogers drum key neatly nestled into its shell mounted holder. As shown in the attached 1967 Rogers catalog, this drum has heavy beavertail lugs. Its Dynasonic badge shows a serial number of 6560 dating the drum to around 1965. It was originally purchased for use in a school which painted its identifying code on the side of the drum. The paint was removed but the yellowish shadow of the letters remains. A non-aggressive cleaning of the shell was not able to completely remove this yellowing but a more aggresive cleaning could potentially remove the shadow if desired. With a shell size of 12" x 15" , this is the largest Dynasonic snare drum produced by Rogers making it ideal for any parade or orchestral setting.
