Beautiful 1959 Slinglerland Super Gene Krupa snare drum with a blue and silver duco finish. This drum has the first Slingerland black and brass Chicago badge with the looped bottom of the script Slingerand "S". Our Super Gene Krupa snare drum is completely original inside and out. The original nickel plated hardware is in truly excellent condition. Beautiful nickel over brass stick saver hoops and 8 Sound King lugs. The clamshell strainer comes complete with the orignial extension arm and works perfectly. Original dual pad internal muffler, snares and tension rods round out the hardware set. The shell construction is 3-ply with mahogany interior and maple reinforcement rings. The blue and silver duco finish is also in excellent condition with no flaking, cracking or paint loss. New Remo Ambassador heads top and bottom. This is an excellent example of the Super Gene Krupa model and a bit of a rarity with a 3-ply shell and duco finish. This will make an excellent addition to a period Slingerland collection and will make a great player.
