This is a beautifully reconditioned Slingerland 1970s TDR 100 model field drum. This field drum has been completely reconditioned and brought back to life. The shell has been recovered but there are no alterations to the bearing edges. They are still very sharp and original. All original hardware is clean with only minor marks not affecting the performance of the drum. The snares are original gut snares that respond perfectly. This is a 12-lug drum providing excellent tensioning of the 15" heads. These drums have a heavy 5-ply maple shell with no reinforcing rings giving the instrument an excellent full and “open” sound with superior response. These field drums have been used by many generations of orchestral players for that stated reason. This is an excellent opportunity to add this attractive drum to your concert snare drum collection.
