This is a Slingerland Sound King 14" x 14" floor tom with a rare 1st generation black sparkle wrap. This drum has a Black & Brass Niles badge with serial number 200xxx. The interior of the drum is the beige, chocolate milk color common between 1966 and 1970. We date the drum to be around 1968. It has a first generation black sparkle wrap with sparsely set maroon sparkles on a solid black background. The wrap is in excellent condition with a small amount of fading but it still shows lots of maroon highlights under the lights. The wrap is tight with some scratching on the surface the is hardly noticeable. All original parts including an original Slingerland Sound King resonant head. It has its original legs, leg mounts, 16 sound king lugs, internal muffler and chrome over brass counter hoops. This is a rare size all original, late 1960's floor tom in a super rare wrap that will make a nice addition to a black sparkle outfit.
