This is a pair of Slingerland model no. 719 timpani mallets from the 1960's. The mallets do not appear to have been used and are in mint condition. As shown in the attached 1965 Slingerland catalog, the mallets have sewn piano felt heads that are 1 3/8" in diameter. The heads are in perfect condition with no wear of any kind to the felt. The shafts are straight and without chips or cracks. There is a clear green ink Slingerland logo and model number on each shaft. These mallets are great for timpani or for playing soft cymbal and tom tom passages. They will make a nice addition to any vintage Slingerland outfit.
