This is a set of 1950's Slingerland Standard tunable bongos in near mint condition. As shown in the attached 1955 Slingerland catalog, this st of black and gold duco bongos with nickel plated hardware is in perfect condition. The black and gold duco shells are perfect with no shipping or cracking. The shell interiors are painted white. The nickel plated sound king lugs and NOB hoops have a nice vintage, "as found" patina with no rust or issues of any kind. The mount has its original felt pad attached in excellent condition. The head on the larger bongo is the original Slingerland branded calf head . This is a perfect set of black and gold duco Slingerland bongos that will make a rare addition to any 1950's Slingerland outfit.
