Terrific, deep, Slingerland cloud badge concert bass drum. This is the largest of the Universal model bass drums Slingerland made in the early 1940's. The 30" x 16" shell is perfect for a concert setting. The extra 2" in shell depth adds extra depth and resonance to the sound of this bass drum. The shell is a full 30" in diameter so modern stock heads will fit. Both of the heads on this drum are original Slingerland "Supertone" calf heads in excellent condition. The dark blue duco finish is in very good overall condition. There is no flaking or checking in the finish. The white rims look sharp with the blue duco finish and could easily be repainted for a more reserved look. Original painted head reflects its use in the Umpqua military post in Roseburg, Oregon. This is a great sounding concert bass drum for any setting.
