It can be filled with water or light oil to produce a loud warbling bid call. The whistle is larger than most bird whistles from the era and produces a louder effect than other whistles from the era. The copper chamber is water tight so it does not leak. it is 3" tall to the peak and the chamber is 1 3/4" in diameter. This is a unique, rare whistle that will make a great addition to any suond effect collection.
