Hinger Private Collection Now Available
A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
Beautifully preserved early 20th century tuned cowbell tree. As shown in the attached Dixie Music House catalog from around 1920, this set of small tuned bells wadescribed as a set of sheep bells. The individual bells are smaller than the standard cowbells from the early 20th century. The bells range in size from 3 1/2" - 2 1/8". They are tuned to a nice major triad and have a beautiful bronze patina. The nickel plated rack attaches to the BD counter hoop with a small woodblock style mount. These cowbell trees were ubiquitous on the drum outfits from the early 2oth century and no vintage kit from the era is complete without one.
