This is an exceedingly rare, Leedy Circular Trap Rail. As shown in the attached page from the June, 1937 Leedy Drum Topics magazine. This is the only mention of the product we could find. To our knowledge, this trap rail never appeared in any of the Leedy product catalogs. The rail attaches to both the front and rear counter hoops to give it good stability. It has 9, 3/8" mounting posts arrayed around the circular rail which allows for a huge variety of traps to be mounted atop the bass drum and still leaves room for a small trap tray for sticks. Our offering includes a beautiful set of 5 Leedy branded temple blocks complete with Leedy branded temple block clamps. With all nine mounting posts filled with traps, there is just about as much mounting space on this rail as there is with a full Leedy console. The nickel plating on the rail is in excellent condition. There is a clear Leedy script logo on the rail and the temple block clamps. All five temple blocks have a clear Leedy decal and no cracks or missing pieces. There are varying amounts of paint chipping on the temple blocks. This is a very rare item that will make a big impact on any Leedy or other vintage outfit from the early 20th century. It is the only one of its kind we have ever seen. (Chinese tom tom, cowbell, and cymbals w/mounts are not included but available upon request).
