This is a very nice early pair of Metropolitan Model, Dresden style timpani made by Walter Light. This pair of drums, with 26" & 29" diamter bowls was built in the 1970s and have been used professionally for many years. The Metrpolitan model has the same great sounding bowls as the Light Model XI drums. There have been a couple of repairs made to the frame of the 28” drum and the 25” drum was refurbished by Walter Light which added a newer spider at the base. Walter Light drums (now American Drum Manufactures) are great sounding, easy to play professional quality instruments.
