This is a near mint condition 1955 WFL Contest Model Concert snare drum in a rare aqua/blue sparkle wrap. These 6 1/2" x 15" shell size snare drums with 8 lugs from the mid-1950's usually appear in natural mahogany or duco finishes. This example is wrapped in WFL's blue sparkle wrap that looks more aqua than blue. It's more aqua than it even appears in the attached pictures. The triple flanged nickel over brass hoops with a drop gate are in perfect shape. All of the nickel plated hardware is perfect and clean without a spot of rust. Both calf heads are in nice shape with a clear Radio King stamp on the bottom head. This is a great example of a mid-1950's WFL in mint condition. This will make a great addition to a vintage outfit or any WFL snare drum collection
