This is a WFL Supreme Concert snare drum from 1959. It is a beautiful example of this transition era drum made during the period when the Ludwig family had reacquired the Ludwig drum company. As shown in the attached 1955 catalog, this drum has a natural mahogany finish on its 6 1/2" x 14" 3-ply shell. it has maple reinforcement rings and a clear mahogany interior with a Jan 8, 1959 date stamp. All of the nickel plated hardware is original to the drum and in terrific condition. The brass WFL badge was missing so we added the era correct badge. It is in excellent overall condition and will make a great addition to a vintage WFL outfit or WFL collection.
