This is a remarkable, one of a kind, double headed bass drum mallet with a solid, nickel plated shaft. This mallet does not appear in any catalogs but one of the heads which appears to be original has a WFL washer in place. It has a beautifully crafted, nickel plated, solid steel shaft which matches the WFL wooden shafts of the era. It's weight is nearly 1 1/2 pounds which feels great in the player's hand and produces a deep, full sound on a concert bass drum. The two heads are both of spun felt but in different sizes. They are attached to the shaft with mounting screws so they can easily be replaced so suit the new owner. This is a great sounding, beautiful mallet that will make a nice addition to any concert percussionist's mallet collection.
